Luncheon Meeting - Clifford Lampe on Social Media - Potentials, Pitfalls and Practices
02/22/2012 - 12:00
02/22/2012 - 1:30pm
Amidst the hyperbole of media reports, naysayers' critiques and inevitably increasing use of the technology for organizing human activities, objective study and scholarship have begun to yield a clear picture of how social media affect the way people communicate. Professor Lampe, a former Junior Rotarian himself, is at the forefront of these academic pursuits. Discussing best practices for accomplishment of communication goals, he will highlight the key characteristics of social media and what they can and cannot do. Introducer: Maurita Holland.
