Endowment Development
Co-chairs: Norman Herbert, Brooks Sitterley
Time: 2 meetings per year
Size: 6
The purposes of this committee are:
* To grow the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor’s Permanent Endowment by promoting annual contributions by all members, encouraging bequests and memorial gifts, and soliciting major gifts and pledges from members.
* To increase the amount transferred annually to the Community Allocation Fund. The annual distribution is 4.25% of the 16 quarter average of the Permanent Fund. To the extent the market value of the Fund increases through appreciation and gifts, the annual distribution will be increased.
* Continue to recognize major donor in the Club’s annual report
* Require the Ann Arbor Rotary Endowment trustees to make an annual
report to the Club.
The committee is involved in developing appropriate communication pieces to share with the membership.
