Welcome, President Beth!
President Beth Fitzsimmons began her Inaugural Address on June 30 by announcing the new Rotary theme for 2010-11, “Building Communities and Bridging Continents.” Her own goal is “to create a Rotary experience that integrates fellowship and service, engages the surrounding community and the world, and fosters lifelong pride in Rotary.”
Beth expects to add a community-based Rotaract Club and has already formed Doers of Good (DOGS), a committee that will focus on short-term, hands-on, community projects. Beth promised more intensive use of the website to highlight Rotary’s deeds and to help foster a lifelong pride in Rotary. Please Watch This Space!
